Poor start costs intermediate team. Mayo Gaels 1-7 Garrymore 2-10

A poor start when they conceded two goals in the opening five minutes ultimately cost our intermediate team the O’Mara Cup game against Garrymore on Saturday evening. They matched Garrymore the remainder of the game but these two goals were the difference in the end on a final score line of 1-7 to 2-10. In an identical start to last weeks game from the throw up Garrymore were awarded a soft penalty that they duly converted.

Bord na nOg News

The Bord Na nOg 2010 campaign started on Sunday when our minors were awarded the game away to play Eastern Gaels. Several Bord Na nOg officers and parents participated in a CPR & Defibrillator course in Ballindine. Mayo Gaels will shortly position the Club’s Defibrillator to a fixed point near the clubhouse. Mayo Gaels Bord Na nOg Committee wish to thank everyone who attended the Bord Na nOg Quiz Night. A great night was enjoyed by everyone.

Time running out for Membership

Every member needs to be registered in Croke Park.
The deadline for registeration to Croke Park is March 31st.

There is a full list of all members displayed in the Clubhouse.
Mayo Gaels will continue to take registeration in the clubhouse on Sundays, after mass, from 12 to 1pm.
There are only two Sundays left in March.

Full Adult membership is €25.
Social membership (for use of the walking track)is €10.
Youth membership is €20

Intermediate team lose out to Belmullet. Mayo Gaels 0-8 Belmullet 2-9

In a side still depleted with injuries the Gaels were without a number of their regulars as they entertained Belmullet at home on a mild Saturday evening. Belmullet were the first to get proceedings under way notching up a point from play in the opening 30 seconds followed by another pointed effort on the 3rd minute. Sean Boyle soon took it upon himself to get the Gaels on song and pointed on the 7th minute to start the Gaels tally.
