Lotto

Club lotteries have been a regular part of fundraising efforts at sports clubs in Ireland for decades and Clubforce (as locallotto.ie) became the online home of club and society lotteries over 10 years ago. The Clubforce system allows clubs to sell lottery tickets online to club members at home and abroad. Members can enter multiple draws at once and receive automated emails with lottery results and club news.

This online lottery service is included as part of the club’s overall subscription to Clubforce and can be run in-tandem with offline lottery or run exclusively online.

Mayo Gaels Bord na nOg/Elverys Sports partnership

Mayo Gaels have teamed up with Elverys Sports to offer all underage players a discount on gum shields and footballs. All Bord na nOg members can print off this link to a voucher and present it to Elverys Bridge Street, Castlebar or Elverys Claremorris which will allow them to purchase a training ball and a gum shield for only €12. All Bord na nOg players will be required to bring their own ball to training and wear a gum shield for all training sessions and matches.

Sean Flanagan Cup tournament/Brian Keane Benefit

Mayo Gaels beat Balla in the Sean Flanagan Cup semi final 1-15 to 0-4 points. The Gaels now take on Burrishoole in the final which will take place on Sunday next, February 19th at 3pm. Mayo Gaels U-14s will take on Burrishoole as a curtain raiser at 1:45pm. As always the proceeds of this tournament will be donated to a good cause. This year all funds raised will be donated to the Brian Keane Benefit Fund.

O’Mara Cup kicks off Sunday at home to Shrule/Glencorrib

The 2012 O’Mara Cup kicks off Sunday next February 26th at home to Shrule/Glencorrib in Abbey Park at 12pm. The Gaels then face two away games away to Claremorris on March 4th and away to The Neale on March 11th. All games throw in at 12pm.

Sean Flanagan Cup final. Mayo Gaels 1-9 Burishoole 0-14

A beautiful Spring day in Abbey Park was the setting for an entertaining Sean Flanagan Cup final between Mayo Gaels and Burrishoole. The large crowd were treated to a lively and closely fought game throughout. The opening exchanges were evenly matched with two Adam Gallagher points being split by two from the West Mayo men to leave the sides level after twelve minutes. The Gaels hit the front after seventeen minutes when a through ball by Adam Gallagher was flicked to the net by Paul Walsh.
